Job tittle –Manager, Debt Recovery
2. Experience
- Law graduate with 10 years’ experience in Private / Payment Banks, large NBFCs, Fintech, Debt Recovery Agencies involved in Debt Recovery from Non-individuals.
- Heading a team of internal / external Debt collectors, Lawyers across multiple regions, countries.
- Experience in handling recoveries from overseas markets and understanding of cross jurisdiction approach would be an added advantage.
4. Goals with a 20% weight for all 4 parameters à DSO 20%, OD >180 days to be < X% of AR, Bad debts to be 0.XX% and XX% of Risks to be secured, insured. This is just an indicative plan.
5. Intended Job Role - To support the Credit Office in managing / controlling / mitigating / transferring the Credit Risks for Redington
a. Intense engagement with C&C team in achieving your goals thru them, Collectors & Lawyers on ground.
b. Evaluate options and have rate contracts with Debt Recovery Lawyers / Agencies in MEA on a success-fee basis
c. Be the representative to represent Redington in any legal, court actions to be pursued across MEA. Be willing to travel as and when required.
d. Point of contact for lodging the claims and securing the claims payout from Insurers.
e. Having complete understanding of the laws around Cheques, Promissory Notes, payment default, email indemnities etc which impact on our Credit management decisions
f. Be the SME of sorts for risk reviews in the C&C operations – Evaluate the various process followed, risk assessment approach etc and suggest any Risk improvements required.
g. Enable to grow digital sale transactions requiring credit terms and to grow secured digital collections.
h. Adopting a consistent (automation, but reviewed) practice for Recovery notices, legal and recovery actions are pursued across MEA, basis the pre-agreed timelines
- Where any invoice is >90days Overdue, this officer begins to understand the situation and any further billing actions would require his/her approval
- Where an invoice is >120days Overdue and within 150day period, an appropriate (legally worded) notice should be sent to the customer.
- Where an invoice remains unpaid >180days, this officer should present the report to management on Recovery actions being planned and possible outcomes.
