Responsibilities
Summary:
The Service Engineer diagnoses troubleshoots and resolves photocopy machines and printers issues in a timely and cost-effective manner and promotes and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction with our products and services. The service engineer works with clients to maintain a comprehensive and timely solution. In addition to resolving issues, technicians also perform routine maintenance and meet with clients every so often to ensure devices continue working efficiently.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service and support during field visits and tie workflow to schedules to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Manage all on-site installation, maintenance, repairs, and testing tasks to ensure proper documentation of all related processes.
  • Diagnose errors and technical problems and determine proper solutions to produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Satisfy customer needs by making appropriate recommendations and briefings using appropriate field automation systems, procedures, and protocols.
  • Establish assistance by studying system requirements, including ordering and gathering essential components and parts, completing the installation, and performing quality assurance tests.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by using creativity and ingenuity to investigate complaints, identify resolutions, suggest enhanced operating techniques, and recommend system improvements.
  • Service existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning a daily travel schedule, reviewing concerns, conducting tests, and resolving problems
  • Maximize equipment up-time through timely response and effective and efficient repair with selective customer training to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • To maintain maintenance records, service reports, and service cycles of photocopy machines and printers.
  • Adhere to the Preventive Maintenance cycle of machines and carry out preventive maintenance to avoid frequent breakdowns of machines.
  • Estimate the cost and the time required for the repair of the machines.
  • Forecast of spares and consumables.
  • Provide accurate feedback with call close information, parts usage reporting, and customer meter readings.
  • Analyze customer needs, recognize business opportunities, and influence sales volume growth.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, field service, sales, management, and administration in a way that is courteous, positive, and professional.
  • Update the product knowledge by regularly participating in RICOH online learning platform.
 
 
Job Specific Skills:
  • High-level ability to test, troubleshoot, service, and repair printers and MFPs, MFDs/Photocopiers.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic work schedules and flexible shift.
  • Keen to learn new technologies and techniques.
  • Excellent Customer service, Communication, and Self-management.
  • Must have UAE’S driver’s license.
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Electronics
Additional: Certificate in Printing Technology
 
 
Required Experiences:
5+ years’ service experience in the office automation industry or relevant role
